Subject: Fort Devon, MA

Comments: Have been having great difficulty in finding the location of Fort Devon, MA. Can you help??
I am researching a medical rescue mission on October 7, 1941, of Two injured US personnel from Gander, Newfoundland (often reported as "Newfoundland airport" to "Fort Devon." Have been able to get information on "Fort Devens", MA, but not Fort Devon, MA. This is of particular interest to me because my wife, in 1941 was a Royal Canadian Air Force Nurse stationed in Gander and was the medical escort for the injured on this flight.
Please help or suggest a source for this information.

Comments: Hello, I was hoping you might have some information regards my late uncle, Sgt. Suel C. Anglin. He was awarded a Bronze Star, which; along with many of his personal items, I inherited. He died 4 years before I was born, so I never had the pleasure of knowing him. I have one of his dog tags somewhere, I can't put my hands on it right now. Is there a record of the specifics or circumstances regarding the medal? He died in 1954 at the veteran's hospital in Durham, NC. Any information or direction that you could provide would be appreciated.

Subject: A Salute from me to all the KIA/MIA

Comments: Gentlemen, I am a long time retired Air Force MSgt who was one of those responsible for getting a mountain in Colorado named as "Mount KIA/MIA" , meant as a memorial and as a salute to all who have lost a friend killed or missing in any of America's wars.

Getting right to the point. I would be pleased to send you a DVD and a CD of the first group to climb this mountain after it was named. We believe you will find the video something to share with your entire group. Please send me a contact and a snail mail address so that I can send them. They are pro bono, and from the heart.

For instant gratification and to see what the mountain is all about just type in veteransvoice (online) and look at the front page of this electronic newspaper. Under the title Mount KIA/MIA.

We are proud that a Korean War Army Veteran (age 78) was "first ontop" after the mountain was named. As far as we know there were only two who climbed this previously unnamed 11, 295 ft. mountain (and signed a register) prior to it's being named. The scenery is well worth sitting down to watch the DVD.

Maybe some of your people would like to climb Mount KIA/MIA. (I hear that some of the Airborne are planning a reunion in Colorado Springs, CO next year and intend to make the trek.

I salute you!

Comments: My father passed away last December and I'm in the process of documenting some of his stories/experiences from WW2. I have come across a few pictures of some of the men my father served with. One of these is Augustine B. D'Errico. He was from New York, and had a sister named Rita. Unfortunately that's all the info I have. I know he was wounded at least once (in the leg) and received a bronze star for action in France in November of 1944. He served with my father in Company H, 2nd battalion, 7th Regiment, 3rd Infantry Division. Both he and my father were gunners on a .30 mg crew. I would like to get in contact with anyone from his family who may be interested in receiving a copy of the pictures i have of him.
Thank you
