Dear Society of the 3rd Infantry Division, U.S. Army.
I am a member of the W.W. II Historical Reenactment Society, and am doing
research on the guidon of CO B, 15th Regiment of W.W. II.
Is there a website or photo source that I can go to see an image of the W.W.
II guidon?
Please assist my endeavor and I extend my gratitude in advance.
Respectfully,
Carlos Ramirez

Comments: Hi, was hoping you can verify
if Carmine Palladino guarded the tomb of the unknown soldier during the
Vietnam War. He claims to have had this honor but doesn’t seem to have any
photos, tends to brag a lot about how great he is to my Mom who is seventy
–four. Thanks, Deborah Block |

Subject: Where
was Divarty when ww2 ended.

Comments: I went back
to Salzburg in about 1990 and while there tried to find the house were
billited in the day the war ended. Thats WW2. Is there any way to find out?
There are a few things I'd like to return if I can find it. The Third moved up
to occupy Germany in a few weeks and the 468th AAA moved into the house as HQ
looks like. I'm attaching a couple pictures. One of me in front of the house
in May 1945 probably the other about a year later after the 468th moved in.

Subject: Lambert P. Friederich
Comments: Hello how are you? I am trying to locate information about my father
Lambert P. Friederich, He was a 1st Lt. The only information that I have is
what is on his Separation Papers. This paper says that he was an Infantry Unit
Commander. Served in The European Theatre with the 30th Infantry, 3rd
Infantry Division. It says that he got a medal for Rhineland . I would like to
find out the history of Rhineland . He received The European –African Middle
Eastern campaign Medal with 2 Bronze Stars. Bron Star Medal with 1 oak leaf
cluster, Purple Heart, Army of Occupation Medal (Germany Clasp) American
Campaign Medal, Combat Infantry Badge 1st Award, Presidential Unit Citalion,
French Fourraguerre, Could you please tell me what resources or books that
I could use to try and trace the history of what my father did in WWII.
Active Duty started in 6/2/43 - 9/18/46 He was in College at The University
of Florida when he inlisted into the army. Paperwork says that he departed for
England on 7/2/44, arrived in England on 7/13/44. I would appreciate if
someone might know the history of The battles that he might have been in. I
have been told that Rhineland was a battle.Thanking you in advance for any
help you could give me. I am very proud of my father and all the men of WWII
as I am just now realizing now what they really did go through. Again,
thanking you in advance for your time and help.
