Subject: re: help needed for info

Comments: Hi, My name is Octavia Coon and I live in Charleston, SC. I have gotten an e-mail from someone who is using Capt. in front of his name and reads every bit like a scam. How can I find out if someone is using our service men names in scam. I have saved this e-mail but would like to find out if this Capt. is in the 3rd. like he is telling me. Thank you for any help on where to turn for this.

Subject: Records of Patrick Finnegan

Comments: Patrick Finnegan was my father who was a WWI Veteran. He claimed he used his brother's birth certificate to enlist. His brother, I believe, was Timothy Finnegan. His military records were inadvertently destroyed but I remember reading about his incident of being gassed during combat. His birth date was June 13, 1897 and he died in 1977. He was born in Benore, PA and died in Shippenville, PA. I shore would like to obtain information about his military career. I have, in my possession a victory medal articulating the battles in which he fought.
Respectfully
James E. Finnegan
