soldier serving in the 3rd Infantry Division in Afghanistan the emails
we exchange say sent from 3rd Infantry Division Kabul. I guess what I
want to know after reading horror stories of scams does Staff Sergeant
David Cowen exsist? I hope you can help me a lot of the stories say they
have been asked for things I haven't yet.
Thank you

Subject: 3ID in Korea questions
Comments: Is there a website where I can find the structure of the 3rd
ID during the Korean War? I am trying to put together a shadow box for
my father and am not having much luck finding any information. I have
his 214 form but nothing else. Apparently, his personnel file was lost
in a fire at the NPRC. I know he served as a Cpl (T) in the 2nd platoon,
3rd recon company, 3rd ID. He was in Korea from Nov 1953 - April 1955.
I’m trying to figure out what distinctive insignia he would have worn on
a garrison cap. I have his 1st infantry regiment pin from training but
am looking for insignia from units he was transferred to while in Korea.
I’m also confused as most of the history of the 3rd ID says it left
Korea in Oct. 1954 but my dad would have been there 6 more months?????
Sincerely,
Kurt Rossi |

Subject: Patton coin question

Comments: Greetings gentleman,
I hope someone over there can help me. I recently came across a couple
of these coins as I looked through some items I had stored away. I can't
remember how I came into possession of them and don't really know much
about them. I had hoped you could shed some light on this item. Do you
have any information regarding its value or significance? Any help you
can provide would be greatly appreciated. I have pictured the front and
back of the coin in the attached file.

Telephone Switchboard Operator 650. His military qualification was
