Comments: I am 1LT Mathew Heape Paulick, and am currently serving in Kuwait in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. I had the pleasure of speaking with some fine young soldiers from the 3ID recently and just wanted to pass along that they displayed what is to be considered the finest of soldier attributes. I thought you veterans of the 3ID would like to know that these young guys are holding up your reputations for you proudly! It was of particular interest for me to talk with these guys because my grandfather served with the 3ID during WWII. His name is Michael Paulick, he may have been a LT or CPT or LTC at the time. He was awarded the Distinguished Service Cross for his actions at Anzio. If anyone has anymore information about him or anything else about the 3ID in WWII please contact at paulickm@hotmail.com

Comments: Mr. Walters recently passed away and his son and only heir discovered a chest containing numerous high level medals for valor and heroism.  He was with Charlie Co. during the WW11, and attained the rank of E-5.  He could have been associated with a artillery/infantry unit.  Nothing was known about his service until his death because he never spoke of it.  It would be a great honor for his son to know anything regarding his father's honorable service to his country.  Michael D. Anyone who might remember, I would appreciate an E-mail. I don't know the Regiment, Company, or anything. Thanks in advance.

Subject: Searching for my sister and her family.

Comments: I am trying to locate my sister Katrina Hannah Patterson Maiden name Gibson. She is married to Larry Ronald Patterson Jr. he is known to everyone as Ron he is a Captain in the U.S. Army unfortunately I do not have a lot of information about Ron as I have never had the honour of meeting him. I haven't seen or spoken to my sister for nearly 18 months as we both moved at the same time and lost contact. I would very much love to speak to them again and be a part of their lives. Last known posting was in Korea previous posting was in Alaska. Together they have a son called Alexander who I think would be about 3 or 4.

My sister is 31 in November. They got married in Texas. If anybody out there knows the whereabouts of my sister and her family I would be eternally grateful if you could contact me by e-mail or by passing my e-mail address onto them. This is my last hope please help if you can. Thank you Kerry Gibson.

Subject: orange traffic cones by convoy 3/20 (CST) in desert

Comments: On 3/20 in late evening CST, I saw ABC's Ted Koppel do a report w/3rd Infantry Division convoy across desert. At one place, many orange traffic cones were by the convoy - to mark a turn or hill or place where one could lose the trail? War IS hell, but this reminded me of home. I hadn't been videotaping. I told a buddy who is a helicopter-borne  TV/radio traffic reporter here. He was working then - covering an anti-war protest. He thought it was a "hoot!" I want to send him a still from this video, or any still photo of this scene, se he can enjoy what I saw. "Nightline" & ABC are NOT cooperating. I could forward a pic to him by e-mail, even. Q: can you obtain a still from ANY source of the scene I described, so I can share it with him, please? I'd be "Much More Obliged," given what those soldiers have done in Iraq. Thanks for your efforts to help.
