left and is starting to get confused. But if anyone out there remembers him,

He was in WWII: 5th Army (Tech 5). Hq Battery 4321, AAA AW Battalion, Gun

He was also in the Korean War: 3rd Div. 15th Inf. Co. A (Able) 1st Bn. He was
a M/SG. He served from 1950-54 and then joined the Reserves until 1963.
He remembers he was a replacement for SG. Mills in Korea and he remembers
doing patrol with a LT. Cobb along the Imgem(?) River.
Other names he recalls are Rocko from Brooklyn, Johnny Albright and Seth

He also remembers a guy named Nick from the Reserves who would stop by the

lived in Hometown, IL.
Any acknowledgment of him would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all.

Subject: A series of books on WWII
Comments: I hope that you may be able to help me; I am compiling a
series of books on WWII. These books are the memories and experiences of the
men who served in WWII, I am looking for the memories and experiences from all
WWII campaigns and the last week of the war leading up to VE Day, I am also
dedicating one of these books to prisoners of war, if you or a family member
served in any of these conflicts or served time in a POWs camp, and would like
your story added to one of these books, I would love to hear from you. I have
already completed one book on Normandy, which will be published early next
Kind regards, Irene

Subject: 631 tank destroyer battalion
Comments: I am looking for information on the 631 Tank Destroyer Battalion
that was part of the Third Army in WW2. My grandfather was Sgt. Larry Bender
who was part of that unit and my father John and I are trying to get as much
info about him in the war. We have a long family history of service and would
like to know more because we have the complete history of all family members
except his. After the war my grandfather would never talk about it. If anyone
has info on 631 or my grandfather, please e-mail or write. It would mean so
much to us. Thank you

Subject: Pfc John Perry Phillips
Comments: My uncle, Pfc John Perry Phillips, Dawson County, Texas was in the
30th infantry regiment of the third infantry division. He was killed at Anzio
Beach in 1944. We (my family) and I are preparing a memorial to him and I
would love to find out more about him, the battles he fought and his last
battle. From letters from him we can see that he was in the Casablanca
campaign, and the Atlantic beach head in 1943, the Spanish border at Tirrete,
the Tunisia campaign and several other battles. We can not find any of his
medals. Is there a way of finding out which medals he should have received.

Subject: Early 1940's/Ft. Bragg/Martha ???/Engineer Husband
This is a long shot, but I am trying to find a woman who worked with my
grandmother at Ft. Bragg. I don't have much info, but would like to try!!!
The person I am looking for is named Martha and worked in the barracks under a
General Cunningham. Her husband was an engineer, and was sent overseas in
1942. They came from Boston.
If anyone has any info on this woman, or if you believe any of this seems even
remotely familiar, please email me!! My grandma never got this woman's last
name and told me she still regrets it, as they were very close.

Comments: My name is Rick Hiergesell. Enjoyed your website. The USO
performance at Kassel in 1945 caught my attention.
My father-in-law has some pictures of this event. He was about half-way to the
stage. He was in the 7th Army and was in Kassel at the end of the war.
The banner over the stage in you photo has the names of the actors and
actresses. Right below the names of the actors,
the banner reads 16th Armored Division Band. Research shows this was part of
Patton's 3rd Army.
Do you by any chance have the list of all the units/divisions that attended
this event. I am still trying to find out the unit that my father-in-law was
His name was Pfc. Carl Ray Bailey in the 7th Army, and Bronze Star recipient.
Resource recommendations would be appreciated.

served in France, North Africa, and went to Iceland I believe. He never spoke
of the war to anyone in his family. Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Sincerely, Chad M. Ruggles
Pfc. Claude R. Ruggles is listed in Donald
