Comments: Hi. I am trying to research some information on my grandfather-in-law. He recently past away, and we are trying to get as much information on his military career as possible. His name is Chester Hodlik. He was a part of the 3rd Infantry Division roughly around '39-'43. He received a silver star, and 3 purple hearts to our knowledge. He was wounded twice, once in the Invasion of 42 in N. Africa, and also in Anzio in 43. He was a forward Artillery Observer. This is all we know. We want to get a better timeline. We can't find the exact dates of his service. Do you know how we may come about this information? Any help is very appreciated.

Comments:
I was born in Germany on November 2 1961. My mother gave me up for adoption in the city of Achaffenburg. I was adopted by Joanne and Maurice Stansbury while he was stationed in Germany.
I told them as long as they were alive that I would never go seek my biol. mother father. My dad died 6 years ago and my mother 6 months ago. I was in Achaffenburg June 03 and the hospital is not there anymore. When my mother died we (brother sister) also adopted from other families were given birth cert with our names given at birth. So I am trying to find out if my biol. mother or father is still in Germany. The birth name on my birth cert. reads Frederic Dean Voller. can you help me start the process and where I would look to find her.... thank you

Comments: I am trying to track down photos of my Dad, Milton Hassan. He was in the 87th Infantry Division under Gen. Patten...3rd Corps. He was in an Army Band under the direction of Guy Taylor. He tells a story of playing taps (He played trumpet) at the end of the war as his division performed a pass and review. It is a wonderful story and it occurred to me that if Gen Patten was reviewing the troops at the end of the war perhaps someone took pictures. My Dad will be 87 this year. Thanks.

Comments: Hello there,
My name is Ssgt Michael Grandjean, platoon sgt from the 3th tank platoon B-squadron 42 tank battalion in the Netherlands.
For months I've been searching for S/Sgt Bobby Burell who is the battalion master gunner, 1-64 Armor, 2d Brigade at the 3ID. Our unit is going to be deployed in the southern part of Iraq for supporting the Royal Dutch Army who are securing the area there. I'd like to get in contact with him because I've read an article he wrote about Gunnery Training Program after the lessons learned in OIF. I have a lot of questions about working with tanks in the dessert. We do not have any experience with that.
Maybe it is possibly that I can get in contact with him or somebody else from 1-64 Armor so that we can learn from our tank colleagues.
I hope I will hear from you soon
Thanks for so far,
S/Sgt Michael Grandjean

Subject: Lawrence H Fulks

Comments: I am looking for any information on Lawrence H. Fulks. He served in WWII under the 3rd Army 3rd Division. He mentioned to me that his Lt. was Lt. White if that rings any bells. He has just passed on, on June 15th 2004. I am his granddaughter and I did get to record some of his stories, but not as much as I wanted to, as we all do we don't think time will stop and then it does. Anyways I would love if anyone has any info.

I don't have my notes out but I do recall my grandfather stating that the 3rd army was switched to the 7th army during the Rhine crossing and he was apart of that. He also states he was under Patton for a time.

Please if you need more info I am sure I can get it for you. I appreciate your efforts in advance.
Autumn McDaniel
