Subject: My father Howard Williamson

Comments: I am trying to locate any information on my father, Howard Williamson. National Personnel or National Archives are of little help. He was in the Army, inducted at Ft. Benjamin Harrison in Indiana, wounded at Anzio and returned to the states. Hometown is Evansville Indiana. I have been told he was assisting a Red Cross vehicle when shot. Also told he may have been in an engineer unit, family stories indicate he worked on railroads and bridges in the services. Any help to locate information would be appreciated.

Subject: Looking for sibling

Comments: My father, Ralph H. Kennedy was in the Army/Air Force during WW2, stationed in France. We found out, much later he fathered a son. If anyone has any information, hopefully a fellow soldier or friend, we want to find out any information on our half brother. This had to have been between 1944-1947. I know a letter had been sent to the US enclosing a picture of the mother holding the son.

Comments: Hi,
I am looking for any info on the 770th Engineer Dump Truck Company and its relationships to other Engineer Units in the 3rd Infantry Division. My father Frank W. Kazmer was in that unit as an officer and served in that particular unit from June 1944 through Nov 1945 all in the ETO with the 3rd Infantry.
Obviously the 770th had to be part of a larger Engineer Unit and that had to have been part of the 3rdID.
Thank you very much,

He was attached to the 63rd Operational (signal) Battalion and spent most of the war in Italy, landing (I believe) in Salerno and continuing north into Austria and Belgium. Thanks very much.

Subject: Looking for info on my grandfather.

Comments: I don't know a lot about my grandfathers service. He passed away 2 years ago. He was just starting to open up about some of his most humorous experiences during his time with Company G, 15th Infantry, 3rd ID during WWII. His name was Chester Keenan. I'm not sure what I am looking for other than to maybe fill in the gaps about his time in the service. I am VERY proud of his service and would love to hear some things about his time in the service.
I know he was involved in the invasion of N. Africa. One of the stories he would tell was of literally getting a hernia while trying to off-load ammo cans from his wrecked Higgins boat. Another story was about a monkey that he chased out of a mess tent screaming and throwing things at it. He was an enlisted man and claimed he would never have had it any other way.
Thanks in advance from everyone that may help me.
Eric

Subject: My Grandfather, Joe O'Brien

Comments: I am looking for anyone that might have information of my grandfather, Joe O'Brien. I only know of what he told me. He was on one of the first boats to invade Normandy. His boat was attacked and exploded. He says that 75 men were on that boat and he was the only one to survive. He lost his leg. As his granddaughter, I seem to be the only one in my family that is proud of this man. I want to see him get all the credits and recognition he deserves. He is currently very ill and I can not get any information from him, so I really don't know where to begin. I just need a starting off point. I do know he was an honorary member of the 741st Tank battalion if that helps.
