REQUEST #3743
Name: Cynthia Anderson
E-mail: Cindy7777@peoplepc.com
Subject: My father Howard Williamson
Comments: I am trying to locate any information on my father, Howard
Williamson. National Personnel or National Archives are of little help. He
was in the Army, inducted at Ft. Benjamin Harrison in Indiana, wounded at
Anzio and returned to the states. Hometown is Evansville Indiana. I have
been told he was assisting a Red Cross vehicle when shot. Also told he may
have been in an engineer unit, family stories indicate he worked on
railroads and bridges in the services. Any help to locate information
would be appreciated. |

anyone has any information, hopefully a fellow soldier or friend, we want
to find out any information on our half brother. This had to have been

Name: Eric Collier
E-mail:
searcher@collieronline.org
Subject: Looking for info on my grandfather.
Comments: I don't know a lot about my grandfathers service. He passed away
2 years ago. He was just starting to open up about some of his most
humorous experiences during his time with Company G, 15th Infantry, 3rd ID
during WWII. His name was Chester Keenan. I'm not sure what I am looking
for other than to maybe fill in the gaps about his time in the service. I
am VERY proud of his service and would love to hear some things about his
time in the service.
I know he was involved in the invasion of N. Africa. One of the stories he
would tell was of literally getting a hernia while trying to off-load ammo
cans from his wrecked Higgins boat. Another story was about a monkey that
he chased out of a mess tent screaming and throwing things at it. He was
an enlisted man and claimed he would never have had it any other way.
Thanks in advance from everyone that may help me.

Subject: 377th Military Police Escort Guard Co.
Comments: Does anyone have any info regarding the 377th MP Escort Guard
Co. During WWII? I know they began training at Ft. Sheridan then left for
9 more months of training in Florence , AZ. They then left for Ft. Patrick
Henry on July 19th , 1943 and left there for Casablanca on July 29th ,
1943 and arrived in Casablanca on August 6 , 1943. I am trying to figure
out who the 377th was attached to. I have heard they were assigned to the
3rd , 36th and 45th Infantry Divisions. I am particularly interested in
finding out which one my Grandfather was assigned to . His name was Pvt.
Washington Clay Davis. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks ,
