Hello, Enjoyed your site a lot!
Could use some assistance, I am looking for US Army Still Photo Depository, do you know if they have an online site?
In particular I am looking for information on the 738th US Military Police stationed in Brisbane Queensland in Australia in April 1943 through to at lease November 1944.
They used Australian built 1941 Oldsmobile staff cars and I know there were photographs of them in use by this unit. Any help would be great.--

Jim Comer
Address: 1503 Foster Dr.
Cedar Park, TX 78613
email: hccman@swbell.net

Request: I am looking for anyone who may have known my father. He was drafted in 1942 by the
army and served in the 3rd Infantry Division. He was a forward observer in Battery A 41st Field
Artillery Battalion. He was in the North Africa landings, Sicily landings, Naples, Anzio, Southern
France and into Germany. He was wounded three times and received the purple heart. I know of the
dates he was wounded, first at Sicily on August 2, 1943 and then in Italy on November 6, 1943. He
was sent to a field hospital at Epinal, France for his second wound. Nine days after the war ended
he was in Salzburg, Austria. He was wounded in the forehead by an enemy boobytrap. His best
friend was named Thompson, he was killed somewhere in Sicily by German Mortar fire. My father
spoke very highly of him. If anyone knew my father I would appreciate any information I can get. Or
even a detailed history of Battery A 41st Field Artillery experiences.
His rank and name was PFC Jack C. Comer, serial number 39-015-779. He was from Los Angeles, California. He spoke rarely of the war, but would when my brothers and I would ask him about it. He saw extensive combat, and since his passing in January, 1978. I have developed a deep respect for
what he went through.
