BN SP. 3rd Division. I was with C-Btry, And we entered Pusan South
Korea on August 20th,1950. I was a SQUAD LEADER / GUNNER on an M16
Half track with QUAD fifty caliber machine-guns. I went from Pusan
to Inchon to the Yalu River, And back. I have been trying to locate
men that was in a place named Huksu-Ri, North Korea. I am especially
trying to find the Colonel in charge of an ARTILLERY BATTALION that
was in Huksu-Ri. I just do not where to go to find any one. I have
tried until I am out of IDEA's. I ran into your address while I was
looking up the 3rd Division.

Comments: I am trying to find any information on my father. 3rd
Infantry, 756th Battalion - WWII. He was awarded the Bronze Star and
all of his records perished in the fire that took many of our
servicemen's records (1973 I think). I found his name with the Rank
of Tec 4, Italy, 2/16/1944 and a ? mark as to his Company (this was
the only name that did not identify a Company on this list), but his
footstone says Tec 5. My aunt said that he was in the tank battalion
and was a hero. Anyway, I would
appreciate any information you or anyone out there may have. My
father was in 5 campaigns and I was told that he was also under
Audie Murphy's command at some point in time. Thank

Comments: I am searching for my father. Based on some Korean Social
Service adoption paperwork he held the rank of Private in the U.S.
Army. The documents indicate he was in a common law marriage for
approx. 1 yr with my mother SOON HEE KIM and was denied permission
to bring his pregnant wife back to the United States. It state he
was 20 years old at the time. He was stationed (in and/or around
Seoul) in Korean 1965-1966? I was born 5 May 1966 or June 5
1966. Recently, personal medical problems have arisen where a family

Comments: Trying to find any information on T Sgt. Edward Rider of
Company L, 15th Infantry Reg. 3rd ID, 1941-1945. He fought at N.
Africa, Sicily, Italy, France, and Germany. Any old letters from
fellow soldiers that might have mentioned what was happening there,
would be helpful. He won the Silver Star for Valor at Cisterna. All
his officers were killed and he lead the attack against the Germans,
and drove them back with hand grenades. He was chosen to accept the
unit's award "Distinguished Unit Emblem, because he was the only
surviving member of his Unit that left Ft. Lewis in 1942. Sadly he
was killed in a auto accident after he came home from the war in
1946.Any info would help, or where I can go to get records of the

Johnathon Davoren. He was an Irish immigrant who lived in Brooklyn
NY before and after he served. According to my uncle he served in
the 3rd Division during WWII. He passed away in the mid 60s when my
mother was only 13, so we know very little about him. I don't know
what he did in the army but I know he was awarded a Bronze Star.
Though not knowing much about him he has been an influence on myself
and my family. Two of his children followed in his footsteps (Tho'
they both joined the Air Force). And my cousin and I have also
joined the military (Army Reserve for her, USAF for me). So please
