Subject: SSG RONALD KEITH DUPLECHAIN

Comments: Hello, I am looking for any information regarding my father, SSG Ronald Keith Duplechain. He passed away in an auto accident (along with a fellow soldier - I don't know his name) on 30 May 1982, and I never got to meet him. I don't have a lot of information about him. I know he was with the 703rd Main Bn in Germany from approximately 1975 until his death. I have his Report of Casualty form from the Department of Defense, and it says his date and place of last entry was 16 November 1979 from Ft. Hood, Texas. I don't know any of his family, so I don't even know where in Germany he was buried. I was hoping maybe someone knew him who could tell me where he might have been buried - if there was a cemetery close to his base where American soldiers were buried. He married a German woman named Martina and had a son named Daniel, and a month or two after his death, his wife had their daughter Jessica.
If anyone served with him or has any information about him, please contact me.
Thanks so much

Subject: trying to get info for my dad, Johnny Clifford Danner

Comments: Hi my name is Cynthia Bowling (Danner) and I'm trying to get some info. for my dad (Johnny Clifford Danner). I have already written once before, but I had the wrong information on my dad . Sorry about that. His outfits were: Feb.1951 to Oct.1951 ...15th Field Artillery Battalion 2nd Infantry Division. Then Oct.1951 to 1953...B Battery 68th AAA Gun Battalion 8th Army Korean War. He has lost his records in a fire and needs anyone who knows him or was with him in Korea, or even has pictures to share to get in touch with me or him. He says that the men knew him as (THE KID) because he was the youngest of his bunch. He would appreciate any information at all weather big or small. Thank you for your time and help. God be with you all.

Subject: POW during the Battle of the Bulge

Comments: My Father, Kernal Barney Presley, Deceased August 1973, was captured, it appears from his handwriting, on Dec. 18, 1944 by the Germans and freed by the Russians in January, 1945. I am trying to get more information on the event. I have gone on to Google and cannot seem to filter through the maze. Is there a way, that you know of, to access his Army records, the DD214 (I think that is the form)??? Thanks in advance for your assistance.

Subject: Soldier Search

Comments: Hi! My class and I are looking for a soldier, by the name Byron Stovall Johnson (HHSC/3ID/G-4). He was in the Division of Mortuary Affairs. The reason why I am looking for him is because many of my students and I sent care packages to him when he was deployed in Iraq last year. And many of students just wanted to know how he is and if he is alright. If he could contact us it would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You! From Miss Knight and students.

Subject: help for a veteran

Comments: I'm not sure if you can help or not, but here goes. I am writing on behalf of my dad. He is William O. Partington and served in Korea from Dec 1950 to Dec 1953. We have gone through the National Personnel Records Center and were told these records have burned in the fire. They did send him BS W/V, BS, Parachutist Badge, United Nations Service Medal, and National Defense Service Medal.

We are trying to get his DV2 14 papers and a couple of medals (CIB, SS) and ranger tab. Without the records, they cannot issue the medals or tab because they have no proof. However, we have newspaper articles and photos of him receiving these medals. I've been told there might be a way of getting these papers and medals, but cannot seem to find someone to help. My dad is 74 years old and this has become very important to him lately. Please let me know if you can help in any way.

Thank you so much.

Subject: Grandfather American GI ww2

Comments: I am looking to locate information about my grandfather. I have very little information to go by other than the following:- Francis White or Waite. From New Jersey or New York. Stationed in Cornwall prior to D Day, Probably near to Bodmin. Went AWOL just before D Day but found with my Nanna (Mary Lillian Wills). Probably went in on Omaha (Normandy) although this is sketchy. May or may not have survived, information I have here is very unclear. I would be most grateful to anyone who could help, even the smallest piece of information could help me to discover who my grand father was.
