Marlene Dietrich was a German-American actress. She had a long
career, acting in silent films and on stage. She became an American
citizen in 1937, and signed a contract with Paramount Pictures in
Hollywood, CA. During WWII she was a frontline entertainer, and remained
influencial throughout her entire career.
Marlene set an example
with her glamour and exotic looks. Just like todays actresses become
influencial promoting perfumes, skin care products,
ladies watches and other fashions.
In 1999, American Film
Institute named Dietrich the ninth greatest female star of all time. To
this day, Marlene is known as a successful show
performer and will be remembered for all time.
